✈️ Tales from World War II

Step back to the 1940s, when Britain faced one of the most challenging periods in its history and ordinary people were called upon to do extraordinary things…

In this engaging and accessible theatre performance, pupils explore the experiences of children and families during World War II. Through lively storytelling, humour, and memorable characters, the show brings to life the events and everyday experiences of wartime Britain.

Pupils will discover:
• What life was like for children during the war
• The story of evacuation and leaving home for the countryside
• How people coped with the Blitz and air raids
• How communities worked together during wartime

Running time: approx. 45 minutes, 30 minute activity.
Suitable for: KS2

This play is designed for older KS2 children and the production reflects that. While retaining our dynamic and entertaining style it explores the tragedy and scale of WW2 with nuance and sensitivity.

The children are involved in many moments creating the atmosphere of train stations, propaganda posters, dog fights and much more. They themselves act as a band of evacuees for the duration of the show being lead through major points of the war.

As the show fits into a trunk it can be performed almost anywhere. All we need is a 5m x 5m acting space and somewhere for the children to sit.

Availability depending, we will come to your school whenever suits you.

All of our actors are enhanced DBS checked.
